Health Benefits


What Russian Martial Art is, besides self-defense, is health.  The Russians say they would rather heal than hurt. We're not saying the art heals.  What we are saying is that it has health benefits. 

The breathing exercises are very beneficial for the body.  Oxygen feeds many of your body’s systems:  muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, endocrine, digestive, lymphatic, and of course, respiratory.  Today, people do not breathe right or often enough. So Russian Martial Art is health because it teaches you how to breathe properly.

Russian Martial Art is health because it teaches you how to relax.  Relaxation reduces stress.  Stress leads to many sicknesses: heart disease, breathing problems, pain, imbalance in the body, etc.  Muscle tension can lead to joint misalignment, fatigue, and pain. So Russian Martial Art is health because it teaches muscle relaxation.

Russian Martial Art is health for joints and muscles. In the warm up we teach how to move and work your joints and warm your muscles so that you will have joint mobility which is important in daily work, sports, and as you age.
